The varsity boys lacrosse team was pleased to learn that earlier last week, Bryn Luce,  Cody West, Knute Kraus, Ethan Clemence and Chase Warner were selected to play on the 2010 All-South Coast League team. Luce, West and Kraus earned first team honors, Clemence earned second team honors while Page and Warner earned honorable mention.

Having that many players from one team earn all-league honors in the South Coast League is no small feat. Each year, the teams in this league become more competitive, more successful and play against some of the best teams in Southern California. This year, alone, the South Coast League had five out of its six teams make the C.I.F. playoffs.

“It was a cool feeling to have six of our players make all-league because it shows that our team is getting better every year,” said attackman and team captain Bryn Luce.

“Last year we only had one or two players make all-league, so I hope this continues through the upcoming years,” continued Luce.

Next year, the Titans look to turn this hope into a reality. This year’s varsity team consisted of a large number of underclassmen, including many freshmen, that will return next season to build on this year’s accomplishments. If this trend of improvement continues, the Titans have a bright future ahead of them.
